Dennis Elsas is a New York City disc jockey whose radio career has spanned well over forty years. He currently hosts an afternoon show on WFUV in New York (90.7 FM) and weekend shows on Sirius XM Satellite Radio's Classic Vinyl channel(26.) Elsas has also had an extensive voice-over career that includes numerous projects for HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, The Movie Channel and he is also featured as "The Voice of Rock History" at the Museum at Bethel Woods. He currently presents a live, multi-media show, called "Rock 'n' Roll Never Forgets," featuring highlights from his interviews with John Lennon, Elton John, Jerry Garcia and more. The John Lennon interview is widely known among Beatles fans and has been featured in various anthologies and documentaries. ==Early Radio Experience==
Elsas attended Queens College of the City University of New York, graduating in 1968.During his time at Queens College, he was active as a disc jockey and program director and helped establish WQMC, the campus radio station at the college. His time at the station corresponded to others who later made their names in brodacasting, including Anna Bond, who would later join WABC-TV as a news anchor. Upon graduation, Elsas worked for an FM station in New Rochelle, until he was hired by progressive rock station WNEW-FM in New York, joining notables such as Jonathan Schwartz (now of WNYC-FM ), the late Scott Muni, and Alison Steele, the Night Bird.
